How Rodocodo Works
Rodocodo helps children learn coding through guided, interactive learning, with support for the adults helping them along the way.
Whether you are using Rodocodo in school or at home, it provides a structured way to build coding understanding step by step.
1. Create Your Account
Start by creating your Rodocodo account.
Teachers can create an account for school use, and parents can create a parent account for home learning. Once your account is ready, you can begin setting up access for the children who will be learning with Rodocodo.
2. Set Up Your Class or Child Account
Once your account is ready, set up access for the children who will be using Rodocodo.
Teachers can add their class, while parents can add their child. This helps everything feel ready from the start, so children can log in and begin learning through guided coding levels.
3. Children Start Learning
Children learn through interactive levels organised into structured units.
Each unit focuses on a coding concept, helping children build understanding step by step in a guided environment. Rodocodo encourages children to think logically, spot patterns and work through problems independently.
Topics include:
- Sequencing
- Loops
- If Statements
- Debugging
- Problem solving
4. Support Learning Along the Way
Rodocodo is designed to support not only the child learning, but also the adult guiding them.
In schools, teachers can use teaching resources and classroom support materials. At home, parents can use Rodocodo to provide a clearer, more structured learning experience, even if they are not confident with coding themselves.
5. Track Progress
As children move through units and levels, adults can see how they are getting on.
Rodocodo’s progress tools make it easier to spot where a child is doing well and where they may need more support. Each level is awarded 1, 2 or 3 stars to show how well it was understood, giving a clearer picture than completion alone.
